FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What Are Your Hours?

 

​Library hours are posted on our homepage.  Regular hours are:

  • Monday through Thursday:  1:00pm – 7:00pm

  • Friday: 1:00pm – 6:00pm

  • Saturday: 10:00am – 3:00pm

 

Summer hours (Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend) are:

  • Monday - Friday:  1:00pm – 7:00pm

  • Saturday:  Closed

Do You Have Public Meeting Room?

The library is one open space.  However, we have a seating area with tables that many informal groups use for their meetings, etc.  You are welcome to use this space during public library hours.

Do you have public computers for internet access?

How do I place a hold on a book?

Yes, we have 11 computers for patron/student use.  The library has wifi access to use your own devices as well.

There are three ways to do this:

  • Log onto your account in our online card catalog.  This can be done at home!  Your card # and pin/password are necessary for placing holds.

  • Call the library and a staff member will help you.

  • Stop by the circulation desk in the library and a librarian will assist you.

What is my pin #?

Your account has a default pin/password when your account was established.  Patrons have the option to change the password at any time.  If you don’t remember the default or new one is, call the library and we can provide it for you.

How long can materials be checked out for?

Checkout lengths are:

  • New books- 14 days

  • General collection books – 28 days

  • Children’s/Juvenile/Young Adult books – 28 days

  • Audiobooks – 28 days

  • DVD’s – One week

What are your overdue fees?

  • As of August 23, 2022 the library is Fine Free.

  • Any account with a lost or damaged material will have a replacement fee of the full purchase price.

  • An account that has $5.00 or more, or is long overdue, automatically has borrowing privileges suspended.

How do I get a library card and how much does it cost?

A library card is free to all who provide a picture ID and proof of your current mailing address at the Circulation Desk to complete your application.

What if I lose my library card?

Stop by the library and we will issue you a new card with new account #.  There is a $1.00 replacement fee.

How do I renew my books?

There are three ways to do this:

  • On our website, click on “Online Catalog”.  Click on “My Library Account” in the top right hand corner and log in using your library card and pin number. Click on “Renew My Materials” and select the items you wish to renew.

  • Call the library and a staff member will help you.

  • Stop by the circulation desk in the library and a librarian will assist you.
